OVERVIEW

This class aims to equip individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively communicate scientific risk information to different audiences. Through an overview of probabilistic information related to various risk scenarios such as medical, technological, environmental, and social, participants will learn strategies to make this information understandable to patients, users, and citizens.
Topics covered in this class include risk perception, risk communication strategies, and approaches for communicating uncertainty.
By the end of the course, individuals will be able to apply evidence-based techniques to communicate complex scientific risk information in a clear and effective manner.
